Fact or Crap L Word...sucked

crap. (spoiler!!!!!!!) everything having to do with jenny sucked. the baby was hellacool, the sex scene between carmen and shane was fucking hot. alice was wigging out, but it was cool.. i thought it was all right.

jenny...(spoiler!) yeah, like the cutting thing...seems added on at the last minute to explain all her fucked up behavior. i thought something was gonna happen to tina, it would've made it interesting...anyway, waiting for 6 feet under to start.

sweet (spoiler) I didn't watch it, but Jenny cuts herself? fabulous. did she make sure to cut her wrists too so we don't have to torture ourselves with her bullshit next season?

spoiler again her legs. it was handled well.. but hopefully she'll get some decent meds so we don't have to listen to her psychotiy humming yiddish tunes while stripping for men next season.

oh, and stripping badly, too I can't believe she'd actually get a job doing what she does. She sucks in so many ways.

last week the song in the background of her strip scene was that horrible theme song done in a klezmer/yiddish style. That song sucks no matter how they try to clever it up. [sigh]

what is with the theme song being in the show in diff forms? it's not even that great of a theme song. i doubt Betty will be ubber-famous after this.

Though I haven't been watching this season consistently, I think Jenny gets ragged on too much. Maybe cause she's a writer and I'm a groupie for writers, but I for like the Jenny character and I'm willing to admit it. Now I'm going to go back into my cubby hole, to avoid anything thrown at me.

it's not because she's a writer. it's because she's over dramatic and fucking wacko. she needs to be locked up in a psych ward. which is still not a bad character/personality trait. but the L Word isn't an art film. it's not an indie film either. the carnival crap and other scenes to explain "why jenny is fucked up" are just annoying. you go from daily lives of dykes, ups, downs, etc. so this dark, gothic, chaotic mental illness world of jenny's. the shift is too much for me.. i usually fast-forward past the solo jenny scenes.

I meant I have to defend her because she's a writer. And I love weird indie movie crap, and sometimes it's annoying, but I have to root for the underdog. It's my character flaw.

i love indie films ..but the L Word isn't about that, so when it changes course so dramatiy, it seems out of place to me. what's your fav indie film?

Indie films in the general sense in that more than x people saw it: x. Memento (which is my all time fave and a ton of people haven't seen it) In no order Maria Full of Grace Pieces of April My Life Without Me Run Lola Run My favorite indie actor is Sarah Polley. She's awesome! I can't wait to see Haute Tension.

I love Momento and Maria Full of Grace. Run Lola run didn't thrill me but it was a good movie.
